Meet the Chiropractors of Carlton North Family Chiropractic
Dr. Stephen Sassinis Shashyan
Dr. Stephen began his pre-chiropractic education at Adelaide University where he studied a degree in the basic sciences and finished with a triple major in anatomy & histology, micro-immuno-virology and physiology. After completing his study there, he was accepted at the RMIT University College of Chiropractic in Melbourne where he was dubbed “Steveology” by his peers because of his strong scientific background.
During his four years at RMIT, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the student College Public Clinic. In 1999 Dr. Sassinis went back to Adelaide to do his student placement followed by working with a number of other clinics locally and then interstate observing many of Australia’s leading practitioners. read more...
Dr. Simon Petersen
Dr. Simon Petersen started his chiropractic journey quite late. Whilst working in central Australia and Africa as a geologist he decided to begin to start lifting weights to keep his fitness up. "I was about to begin lifting weights when a college suggested I see a chiropractor to see if my back could handle it."
Since his father is a G.P and mother managers medical clinics; like Dr. Sassinis he was a bit sceptical. "Once I layed down at my first appointment and the chiropractor told me that I get headaches behind my left eye, which I did, I was hooked and amazed he could tell that from just looking at my spine." read more...
